This podcast is devoted to exploring presidential history from the founding of the office in 1789 on through the present day. I plan to take a systematic approach to both the people and the events that have shaped and reshaped each administration and the office in general.

Knowledge and Enthusiasm

Listening to Presidencies is like chatting about one of my favorite subjects—American history—with a good friend. A very knowledgeable and enthusiastic friend. I am enjoying this intimate walk through our nation’s early days. Keep up the great work!

Too much minutiae

To his credit, the host is clearly passionate about this podcast and puts in his homework.

Unfortunately, the podcast has virtually ground to a halt by spending unnecessary time and detailing insignificant minutia with regard to the Adams presidency and its seemingly never ending negotiations with France. While the host is obviously fascinated with all things French, it’s doubtful most of his listeners share that sentiment.
