BONUS: Ryan Campbell (and the importance of heart health)

"She felt the life go out of me"

You may know Ryan Campbell as a dashing wicketkeeper-batsman for Western Australia and Australia. I know him as a mate.

Campbo suffered a cardiac arrest in mid-April this year and he's bloody lucky to still be with us.

This isn't a typical ep where we delve into Ryan’s career. Rather, it's a chat about what Campbo went through, what he learnt about his heart and its health, how his perspective changed when he got a second chance at life and what we can all do to look after ourselves.❤️

    154: Lisa Curry (Part A)

    "I was a pee-wee compared to them"

Lisa Curry is a very, very strong person. She’s had to be. When she was competing, when living her life under the public gaze, when running businesses, and tragically, when dealing with the loss of one of her children.

From literally being thrown in the deep end, to competing against the East Germans, Commonwealth Games domination, a behind-the-scenes look at some iconic Olympic Games, muesli bars, and family, this is in depth look at the life of a great Australian.

Lisa has just released a fascinating book, Lisa: A Memoir - 60 years of life, love & loss. It's well and truly worth a read.

Check it out here - https://www.harpercollins.com.au/9781460714454/lisa/

Hey Howie

I re-listened to your Bruce interview. He is the best broadcaster in the last 50 years.

The Howie asking questions of episode thirty something isn’t near as good as the latest episodes.

Can you do Brice again and dive in as deep into as you now do.

He’s the best there ever was, lets hear with Howie 2021 asking questions.

Best thing I’ve listened to since Clarke’s took two wickets in the last over at the school

I think it’s brilliant. Love the stories have listened to most twice. Just be careful with the jarrod Lyle episode. Found myself driving along the i80 in California balling my eyes out. Good stuff howie.

Wonderful modern story telling

Most of the time we see only a 30 second piece in the news about these moments. To be able to get the real inside story is just fantastic.
