Hoodoo Cast is a podcast for authentic Hoodoo, which is Akan Ancestral Religion in North america.
Hoodoo is not an “amalgamation of various African traditions” combined with pseudo-native americanism and/or european pseudo-occultism. Hoodoo is specifically the Ancestral Religion of Akan people from the region of contemporary Ghana and Ivory Coast, West Afuraka/Afuraitkait (Africa), preserved in our spiri-genetic blood-circles for over 300 years in North America.
Spiritual cultivation, our capacity to align our thoughts, intentions and actions with Divine Order every moment of everyday and our capacity to restore Divine Balance when imbalance occurs, is central to our individual, familial, social, economic, political and communal health and soundness as Afurakani/Afuraitkaitnit (African~Black) people.
Our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual grounding allows us to participate in a meaningful way in Nationbuilding/Restoration for the development and defense of our people.
Hoodoo, Akan Ancestral Religion, answers all facets of our existence.
Hoodoo, Akan Ancestral Religion in North America, as is true of all expressions of Afurakani/Afuraitkaitnit (African) Ancestral Religion in America, in Afuraka/Afuraitkait (Africa) or anywhere we exist in the world, can only be practiced by Black people. Any non-Black individual claiming to practice Hoodoo is a 100% fraud.
In order to understand and incorporate our Ancestral wisdom and access our Ancestral power, we must understand the cosmology of our culture. With regard to Hoodoo in particular this is Akan cosmology:
The nature of the Okra/Okraa (Soul), the nature of the Obra (Spirit), our interdependent relationship as Afurakani/Afuraitkaitnit (African~Black) human beings with the spirits of plant life (ndua), animal life (mmoa), mineral life (aboo), the Divine Spirit-Forces in Creation (Abosom) and our Ancestresses and Ancestors (Nananom Nsamanfo), the Creator and Creatress (Nyankopon and Nyankopon) and the Great Mother and Great Father, Supreme Being (Nyamewaa-Nyame/Goddess-God).
This is the value of Hoodoo, inclusive of rootwork, conjure, mojo bags, ring shouts, spirit-possession, divination and more.

Odwirafo Kwesi Ra Nehem Ptah Akhan of Aakhuamuman Amaruka Atifi Mu, the Akwamu Nation in North America, is an Odumafo, traditional diviner of Hoodoo passed down through the blood- circles of his Aakhuamu (Akwamu) Akan Ancestresses and Ancestors for centuries in Mississippi, Alabama and Chicago.
Odwirafo is the author of 31 books, Founder and Instructor of 38 courses within the institution Akonguasua, Founder of HOODOO GYAASEDAN: Hearth-Shrine of Akan Ancestral Religion in North America and Producer of the award-winning documentary film Amarukafo Adebisa: African-American Ancestral Divination.
Odwirafo is also the founder of the annual HOODOO MAYN: Hoodoo Nation Festival. This is the only authentic Hoodoo Festival in the united states.

In this special solo episode Odwirafo examines the reality that Hoodoo as Akan Ancestral Religion is open to Black people exclusively. Any non-Black individual claiming to practice Hoodoo is fraudulent. The Abosom and Nananom Nsamanfo, the Deities and Spiritually Cultivated Ancestresses and Ancestors, have never and will never communicate with nor possess the whites and their offspring. This cosmological truth is immutable and applies not only to Hoodoo but all authentic expressions of Afurakani/Afuraitkaitnit (African) Ancestral Religion.
Odwirafo elucidates the actual etymology and cosmology of the terms: Black, Race, African, Akan and America. These terms predate the languages of the whites and their offspring and can be found in our Ancestral language of Kamit and Khanit (Egypt and Nubia). Hoodoo is specifically the religious expressions of those who carry the spiri-genetic identity of Afurakani/Afuraitkaitnit (African) people who are Akan - descendant of those Akan Ancestresses and Ancestors who were forced into North America over 300 years ago. This is a transcarnational inheritance.

We discuss the Hoodoo Religious Exemption from Vaccine Mandates. This document authored and published by Odwirafo lays out the Afurakani/Afuraitkaitnit (African) Ancestral Religious approach to natural healing (rootwork, conjure) and the cosmological foundation for our rejection of vaccines in our religious practices and thus vaccine mandates.
