I spoke with Southern California Latin trans avant-folk/post-punk artist Cime about her upcoming album 'Laurels of the End of History,' which is out on streaming on August 18th. It's her follow-up to last year's 'The Independence of Central American Remains an Ongoing Experiment,' which we spoke about last spring. 'Laurels' builds on the freak-folk and nueva canción latinoamericana roots established in her debut while adding elements of noise rock and post-hardcore.

Kicking off Season 4 of I Hate Music strong by interviewing my friend Morgan for the fourth time - this time about her project aa & tyr! Earlier this year, she released 'Echo Sun All Bliss,' a maximalist, sprawling psychedelic/glitch pop/post rock/who knows what else project telling the stories of two futuristic archivists searching for identity in a world dominated by information (I'm not doing the narrative justice, go listen to the album).
