We discuss:
- Over calling your dog
- Constant access
- Excessive talking
- White noise

Tips:
1. 24 hour vow of silence
2. Ignoring your dog / Meaningful interactions
3. Working for food
4. Rewarding natural check ins

Welcome to She Gets SIT done.
A dog training podcast for dog owners that doesn’t beat around the bush and gives you helpful, realistic tips and guidance on training your dog and solving issues you may be having.

In the first episode we discuss OVER-socialisation. Yes, you read that right. Over-socialisation is when we expose our dog to too many people/dogs and eventually end up with a dog that is FRIENDLY off lead.. but a nightmare on lead, especially when they see another dog or person.

We feel it’s a topic that isn’t often discussed but its a HUGE topic a lot of people struggle with. We hope this can help you.
What do we cover:
1. What is oversocialisation?
2. Why does it happen so much?
3. What is GOOD socialisation?
4. When can my dogs socialise?
5. Signs of overspecialisation in dogs

Our top 4 tips to start working on TODAY.
1. Only meet RELEVANT people on your walks/outings.
2. When you meet a relevant person expect calmness from your dog. No attention for hyper mindsets!
3. Practise hanging out and making things a non event.
4. Parallel Walking when meeting new dogs is a fantastic way to introduce dogs and teach them calm behaviours.
