THE U.S. WOMEN'S NATIONAL SOCCER TEAM PAY DISPARITY: WHO IS TO BLAME?

THE U.S. WOMEN'S NATIONAL SOCCER TEAM PAY DISPARITY: WHO IS TO BLAME?

Who’s to blame for the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team Pay Disparity?
This week, The Alarmist (Rebecca Delgado Smith) welcomes filmmaker Christina Dodson and the owner of Rough and Tumble, Seattle's home for women's sports, Jen Barnes to discuss the complicated history of US Women’s Soccer and their fight for equal pay. They’re joined by Fact Checker Chris Smith and Producer Clayton Early. Does a “Weak Female” narrative have something to do with it? Maybe the original Olympic games and sports origins rules are to blame? Or perhaps a historic lack of visibility plays an important role.

My absolute favorite podcast

I’ve been listening to The Alarmist for a couple of years now, and I can’t get enough of the team. The podcast is super educational and deeply entertaining, and, as an alarmist myself, it feels awesome to listen to the team talk about preparation, planning and also panicking. The hosts really make us feel part of the team, and always make me laugh and talk along. Hoping to get to listen to the millionth episode!
