Listening to this podcast is almost an unfair advantage
I have been an avid listener of Eric's podcast. My daily comute takes me one hour and a half by car so in a few months I was able to listen to all the episodes. One of those, featuring George Dalam, was about racing in extremely hot conditions. In Portugal, where I live, our Summer temperatures reach the high 90s every day and can go up to triple digit (between 32 and 39 Celcius) easily.
Well I followed the strategies mentioned in the podcast and did two races in two recent weekends. The triathlon nationals and the aquathlon nationals. In my AG I placed second in the former and first in the later. Why, because I really killed it in the run in spite of the brutal heat.
I owe Eric for life. Many many thanks!
