Filter by BTS: a Song in Review Check It/Round Table: Reviews of Books, Movies, Music, and Other Stuff by the Geek Grl

    • TV & Film

In this episode of Check It/Round Table Onna discusses Filter by BTS and how she likes this song although she does not like the dance routines, etc. related to this song.  Onna digresses to Max and Yoz's channel on YouTube and how Max states in his video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3K3nvxMalT8, when dealing with the comments on the affection they show each other is simply because they are so thankful they found one another and are happy, and are going to share their lives with others. and how this is a totally different juxtaposition to the reasons behind Jimin's dance for this song as physical displays of human sexuality are not bad, but displays for the wrong reasons toward the wrong  audience are not Onna's thing, at all.

Onna considers how we really do need to be the filters for our own lives, how we should choose trustworthy people to be our filters so we can look at the world through our own eyes to also look through the other eyes of others with those eyes used in addition to our own, and how this song is unfortunately this song shows a negative aspect in our culture.  Onna concludes with how this song makes her think of the inverse of this song,  how grateful she is for the filters in her life, how if someone wants to be your filter, they shouldn't be your filter,  and how she hopes that BTS does reach their full potential and her hopes that BTS chooses quality over quantity.  It's all here.  It's all real.
