    Ep. 5 - Rob Murphy

    Ep. 5 - Rob Murphy

Rob Murphy is a Singer / Songwriter from Cape Breton Island and known for his raspy vocals and heart on the sleeve lyrics. Rob was named a Top 10 Stand Out Artists by CBC Searchlight in 2020 and a top 10 Artist by Roots Music Canada in 2020. Rob's raspy weathered vocal style can easily show influences from the likes of Johnny Reid, David Gray, and Damien Rice. The alt, country, and folk melodies that Rob creates can be comparable to the style of Jason Isbel, Blue Rodeo, and The Band.

Since COVID Rob has used this as an opportunity to work on writing and co-writing. Over the past 9 months, Rob has written over 20 songs with writers from Canada, Australia, the USA, and regularly from Nashville. Rob is currently recording his first full-length album titled “Tell Me To Stay” this spring and releasing his first single from the self-titled album "Tell Me To Stay" on February 11th.
