This podcast will keep you wanting more
Discovered this podcast about 2/3 months ago. Since then, I listed to it daily. Some of the episodes have good nutrition info, most of them are about how to train better and there are the ones where they talk about life and share personal stories. It’s a complex podcast, looking into life’s each perspective. Sometimes I re-relisten to some episodes to understand better what they say and make notes.
The last episode really struck a sensible coard with me (going through a tough period of my life) and saved this gem:
The most difficult times of your life, if you can make it through them, it’s when you’re coming out with the most growth”.
Really a lot of thanks to these guys that do a brilliant job. Thank you so much and please be here always.
Mindpump has changed my life
It’s true, it took about 200 episodes but it did and I still feel like there is so much left to learn. I have been working out for almost 3 years lifting weights and was completely stuck doing splits and going to failure. Finally, maps actually got me to start progressing again. True, not as fast as I hoped, but I almost lost no size în my arms while cutting, actually they look visibly bigger while before they got tiny whenever I cut. This is also true for my calves.
However, the most important thing I learned was the approach to eat based on how things make you feel instead of just calories/macros. Finally getting that în my head has helped me be able to say no to sweets and other foods. I have a tone of issues with IBS and food intolerances and this approach, while incredibly obvious, has changed my life. Also I lowered my daily intake of protein from about 190 grams to 140 and I’ve made gains which was also a paradigm shift for me.
I could go on but the review is already pretty long. The one thing I didn’t like is that they shamelessly plug their products while, especially Adam, tries to act all naive about it and they ask Doug for permission for things they can clearly decide on, în the early episodes anyway (I’m done with the first 250 and still going). However, I found by listening to other podcasts that they are far less salesy than their counterparts and they don’t promote 400 different worthless supplements like Ben greenfield or others. They promote their own workouts, which if you never tried I do recommend, and they are pretty honest about their approach, so I stopped having a problem with it after a while. În the end, I learned so much by listening to the podcast that even a donation of 50$ wouldn’t be so much. Anyway, this is getting way too long. So much good info, so many paradigm shifts for me, just when I thought i knew so much I once again realize I known so little.
Peace and keep up the good work - ps love the talks about making your digestion better
