Requirements for Repair: What You Need to Do BEFORE Getting Back Together With Your Ex Unf*ck Your Relationships

    • Relații

Raise your hand if you’ve ever thought about getting back together with an ex.
My hand’s up. No shame here. Pretty much everyone has, right? It’s natural—when you lose your safe person, no matter what reasons there were to break up, you’re obviously going to miss them and want them back…
But that doesn’t mean it’s the right choice to make.
Doesn’t mean it’s the wrong one, either.
Reconnecting with someone after a breakup—whether it’s a romantic OR platonic breakup—can work. It can actually be an amazing thing. But only if you go about it from the right place, with the right intentions and motivations. And “I miss them” is not one of those motivations.
Navigating reconnection is never easy. I recently navigated reconnecting with an ex, myself…an ex-friend I went through a “breakup” with last year. At the time, it was almost impossible to find any advice on how to process that kind of breakup…so why don’t I make it a little easier?
