    Queer COVID Archive: Let’s talk Monkeypox with AIDS Fondet

    Coming out of the Celluloid Closet is doing things a little bit different this season. We are collaborating with Cinema Queer, a queer festival in Stockholm, who is behind the Queer Covid Archive. The archive serves to document the experiences of LGBTQIA+ people during the pandemic in different formats, from video, text and even audio - which is where we come in. We have invited people to shared their experiences and thoughts about what the pandemic was like and how it affected different aspects of queer life.
    On this episode, we have invited Stine Bang, Head of Communication at AIDS Fondet. They are a humanitarian organization that works nationally and internationally to combat HIV and AIDS. They also run Checkpoint, which provides information and testing services for STIs to LGBTQIA+ people. We talk about the similarities between the recent monkeypox outbreak in Denmark and the coronavirus.

LGBT Asylum is an organization that since 2012 has provided a safe social network, counseling and support to more than four hundred LGBT+ refugees and asylum activists in Denmark.
    A small show note about this episode: our guest mentions the population of Egypt to be 150 million, but it is actually 102 million.

    On this episode we discuss ways in which polyamorous people navigated the pandemic in Denmark, and how COVID-19 may or may not have had lasting effects on how they participate in relationships. We were curious to hear from people in our community who practice polyamory to learn how they considered things like infection rates and covid “pods” or “bubbles” when seeing partners, so we invited Josefine and Ajo, two queers who practice poly, to chat with us.

    Season 2 Finale: Finding Queerness in Animation

    Season 2 Finale: Finding Queerness in Animation

    Did you know that Ursula from The Little Mermaid was based on the legendary drag queen Divine? Nevertheless, queer representation in animated films, for children or adults, is few and far between. This and other tidbits await on this episode as we leave no queer stone unturned and ask, why isn’t there more positive LGBTQ+ content in animation? We also talk with animation filmmaker Thinh Nguyen, a graduate of the Viborg Animation Workshop, about her work.
    //
    Vidste du, at Ursula fra Den lille havrue er baseret på den legendariske drag queen Divine? Ikke desto mindre er queer repræsentation i tegnefilm, både for voksne og børn, sjældent. I sæsonens sidste afsnit kigger vi under alle queer sten for at spørge, hvorfor er der ikke mere positivt LGBTQ+ indhold i tegnefilm? Vi taler også med animationsfilmskaberen Thinh Nguyen, som er uddannet fra Viborg Animation Workshop, om hendes arbejde.
