Callie works to break down how we think about forgiveness by explaining that in a lot of situations, we need to be able forgive ourselves and others in order to move on and make that relationship better. However, the way we are taught to forgive is flawed, and that we must decide how we forgive ourselves, and the implications it has on the people that apologize to us.

    In this week’s episode, Callie discussed what we should do if we are the most egotistical smart person in the room, or if we aren’t and that behavior is making us feel bad about ourselves. Callie also dives into academic competition, self esteem, and the public school system to really show how our egos have been built up academically and why it might not be the best for us. Callie stresses the need to help others in the classroom who are struggling to break down our academic egos, or to focus more on ourselves if we find ourselves comparing ourselves to other students. We need to be able to help others in the classroom, and sometimes being separated by our intelligence isn’t the best thing for us. Callie encourages listeners to remember to think clearly, and show others compassion when they don’t get it.
