    In this video I am going to show you a simple and quick 3 minute guided breathing exercise that will support you in clearing your mind. The result will be a clear mind so that you have less anxiety, sleep more soundly, have a better memory and are able to concentrate and prioritize more effectively.

    In this interview I have the honour of interviewing Norman Blair, author of Brightening Our Inner Skies: Yin and Yoga. I know Norman Blair as a yin yoga teacher and author of one of my most beloved and used yin yoga books: Brightening Our Inner skies. I personally go between 2 yin yoga books - Sarah Powers Insight Yoga and his Brightening Your Inner Skies. Of course, Sarah Powers wrote the forward for his Brightening Your inner Skies. 



    What I love about Norman Blair is the way that he embodies yin in his writing and in his teaching. I love howfor Norman, yin yoga is much more than the practice of anatomy, but that the body is a vehicle to access mindfulness, our energy body, our psycho emotional well being. 



    In this interview Norman and I talk about what drew him to yin yoga and what keeps him interested in yin yoga. We also talk about why yin yoga when he has such an interest in mindfulness and meditation. 



    We spend a lot of time talking about the principles of yin along with his current edge. We finish our interview together by talking about what captivates him most about teaching yin yoga right now and also what frustrates him most about teaching yin yoga right now.

These are teachers that are generously sharing their teachings on YouTube on a regular schedule, that have good sound and lighting and are offering high quality instruction.     The Yoga Gypsea, Kristen Schoeffel, teaches with minimal cues. There is A LOT of silence. She basically cues you into the pose and then the rest is silence, so if you love a lot of silence in your yin yoga classes, you are going to love her teaching. Kristen offers vinyasa yoga classes, yin yoga classes, restorative yoga classes, lunar yoga classes, and gentle yoga classes on her YouTube channel.
