Cupping and More with Tom Ingegno

Cupping and More with Tom Ingegno

Have you ever seen anyone with perfectly circular bruises out in public? It might be from a softball, or maybe some freak accident with a big glass orb; but most likely: It's from a medical practice called "Cupping".
Welcome to the Just Dumb Enough Podcast. A show that acknowledges no one is always an expert, by dispelling misconceptions with real experts.
My guest today is Dr. Tom Ingegno. Tom is a super fun guy with over two decades of experience in various medical practices that date back thousands of years. We talk about all the classic East Asian Medicine practices a little, but I was fascinated coming into this with the practice of cupping. I had no idea it was something you could do at home for really cheap while still being effective. Having literally written the book on cupping, Tom set me straight and even steered me to buy a set of my own. I love them and have found incredible relief in a way I never imagined possible.
    ( Www.CharmCityIntegrative.Com )( Www.TheCuppingBook.Com )( https://a.co/d/2KDW6Hb will take you to: Www.Amazon.Com "The Cupping Book" )
Let's get some weird shaped marks!
As a follow up to the episode, I did in fact buy my own kit for about 20 bucks. It  has been really easy to use and absolutely helpful for me. I thought the bruises it leaves behind would be uncomfortable, but I actually barely even feel them. Give it a shot if you're feeling curious like I was.
In other news, June's rankings are updated:
    1. The United States, led by Virginia, New York, and California.2. England of the UK. Taking back the spot from Scotland.3. Australia, with New South Wales just holding on over Queensland.4. Canada, with Alberta now leading the provinces.5. Ghana. Followed closely by Ireland.
That's it for this week! Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) with Danu Morrigan

Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) with Danu Morrigan

Narcissus was born in Ancient Greece, and was one day warned that he would live a long life as long as 'he never knows himself.' As he reached his teenage years, the handsome youth never found anyone that could pull his heartstrings, instead, he left in his wake a long trail of distressed and broken-hearted maidens. Then, one day, he chanced to see his own reflection in a pool of water and, thus, discovered the ultimate in unrequited love and fell in love with himself. Naturally, this one-way relationship went nowhere, and Narcissus, unable to draw himself away from the pool, pined away in despair until he finally died of thirst and starvation. Immortality, at least of a kind, was assured, though, when his body turned into the flowers which, thereafter, bore his name.
Welcome to the Just Dumb Enough Podcast. A show that acknowledges no one is always an expert, by dispelling misconceptions with real experts.
My guest today is Danu Morrigan. We've all met that person who is a little to self-absorbed. The world must revolve around them, whether they have to cry or scream or be silent to get their way. But what exactly is wrong with them? Danu is here today to teach us all about the sneaky Narcissistic Personality Disorder or NPD. She'll tell us what it is, what it means, what it's like to be raised by someone with it, and ultimately how to go no contact. It's a far cry from the fable of Narcissus who was so entranced by his own beauty that he died, but in some ways that story still feels kind of accurate.
( Www.DaughtersOfNarcissisticMothers.Com )( https://a.co/d/8AV1hoI will take you to: Www.Amazon.Com "How to go no contact with your narcissistic mother" )
Let's not be self absorbed people!
Do you know any narcissists? I've certainly known a few, and it makes me wonder if I went no contact far later than I should have. Tell me your experience and maybe we'll have successfully learned together!
In other news, June is officially here and the rankings are all new:
    1. The United States, led by New York, New Jersey, and California.2. Australia, with New South Wales leading them to the number 2 spot.3. Scotland of the UK. That's certainly a shake up.4. Ghana. Who did end up beating South Korea last month.5. Canada, with Ontario barely keeping them in the top 5.

    Vitamin P with Corey Poirier

    Vitamin P with Corey Poirier

What is the thing you would do if money wasn't an issue? I know that's an unusual way to lead in an episode, but I'm genuinely curious.
Welcome to the Just Dumb Enough Podcast. A show that acknowledges no one is always an expert, by dispelling misconceptions with real experts.
My guest today is Corey Poirier. Corey is the founder of BLU Talks, and a very successful speaker; not to mention a New York Times best selling author. He's here today to share what he found when he embarked on following his passion. This "Vitamin P" as he calls it is the real secret to getting through the horror show that is life. And it might not end up being your purpose, but it's a strong shove in the right direction.
    ( Www.ThisIsTheBook.Com )( Www.Amazon.Com "The Enlightened Passenger" )
    Let's take our vitamin P!
Feel free to share with me what you love doing, especially now that the interview is over and you have heard how much I love to hear from all of you out there in the audience.
In other news, May is just about over and the rankings are mostly final in this last week:
    1. The United States, now led by California, Oregon, and New York.2. England of the UK.3. Australia, with New South Wales back out front!4. Canada, barely led by Ontario!5. South Korea, with Ghana only ONE listener behind. That's anyone's race.

    Ayurveda with Ananta Ripa Ajmera

    Ayurveda with Ananta Ripa Ajmera

I can't blame you if you've never heard of Ayurveda. I certainly wasn't aware of it when our expert today approached me for the show.
Welcome to the Just Dumb Enough Podcast. A show that acknowledges no one is always an expert, by dispelling misconceptions with real experts.
My guest today is Ananta Ripa Ajmera. Ananta is here today to teach us things that humans have known for thousands of years. The problem is that we've been overwriting a lot of this old, hard earned knowledge with new trends and fads that don't actually serve to help us as much as they hurt us. I was quite surprised by a lot of what used to be considered common sense, which is never a good sign. And I'm guilty of doing quite a few of the bad things she points out. While her background definitely has a spiritual inclination, you'll likely find a lot of universal advice about how to grow and better yourself that doesn't have any direct connection to one philosophy or religion. We'll talk about how it can help with everything from insomnia to eating disorders.
    ( Www.AnantaRipaAjmera.Com )( Www.Amazon.Com "Way of the Goddess" )
    Let's relearn old knowledge!
There are so many people on so many journeys out there, that it can be easy to sidetrack yourselves. I hope the advice in this episode helps someone to better find their footing and return to their own path.
In other news, May is just over halfway done and the rankings have mostly stabilized since last week:
    1. The United States, now led by California, Oregon, and New York.2. England of the UK.3. Australia, with Victoria taking the lead from New South Wales!4. South Korea.5. Canada, now led by Ontario!
That's it for this week! Bad Bosses with Jennifer Nash

    Bad Bosses with Jennifer Nash

We all love to trash talk bad bosses, but when I asked people what they thought the worst traits in a boss were: I didn't expect to get flooded with responses.
Welcome to the Just Dumb Enough Podcast. A show that acknowledges no one is always an expert, by dispelling misconceptions with real experts.
My guest today is Dr. Jennifer Nash. Jennifer and I were both sick at the time of recording and decided to make the most of it, using her two decades of experience as a leadership coach to break down what makes a person a bad leader. With a whole host of responses from listeners just like you, we had no shortage of examples. But if you think it's all goofs, think again as we drop nuggets like this: "Those employees were 50% more likely to have a heart attack or die of a stroke."Today's episode is great for venting if you have a subpar boss. Make a game of it and see how many points your leaders earn on the Just Dumb Enough survey. Hopefully any of you listening to this that are leaders, recognize a few things you can work on to be better.
    ( Www.DrJenniferNash.Com )( Www.Amazon.Com "Be Human, Lead Human" )
Let's hope we don't get fired after this!
I hope you've enjoyed the boss bashing bonanza without being left feeling hopeless. Everything we've discussed today can be fixed, if the leader in question has a desire to fix it.
In other news, the May rankings have changed just a bit since last week:
    1. The United States, still led by California, Georgia, and Oregon.2. England of the UK.3. Australia, with New South Wales holding the lead!4. South Korea.5. Canada, returning the favor from last week and bumping Ghana off the list!
That's it for this week! Polyglot Means Multilingual with Joel Dubin

Polyglot Means Multilingual with Joel Dubin

I'm sure that no matter where we are from, or where we live, we like to consider our place to be pretty diverse. Well my expert today is coming from an area where just his part of town is home to 60 languages! And he surprisingly speaks many of them quite well.
Welcome to the Just Dumb Enough Podcast. A show that acknowledges no one is always an expert, by dispelling misconceptions with real experts.
My guest today is Joel Dubin. Joel is a Polyglot, meaning he speaks many languages. In a world where many people consider learning a second language to be challenging, Joel feels like a fish in water using multiple languages every day of his life. He's here to shed some light on the practices he has found success with, as well as some of the things that might impede our progress when we endeavor to learn a new way to speak.
    ( Www.Twitter.Com/DubinsLanguages )( Www.Amazon.Com "Highly Dysfunctional Companies" )
Lass uns noch viel mehr Sprachen Sprechen! That is to say: Let's speak many more languages.
I love languages so so much. If only I was better at speaking any of them! But still, I'd love to hear all of your complaints about either your own native language, or languages you've learned.
In other news, May has begun and the rankings have shaken up a bit from the norm:
    1. The United States, now led by California, Georgia, and Oregon.2. South Korea! This is awesome and I'm so glad to see more listeners coming from that area!3. England of the UK.4. Australia, with New South Wales taking an early lead!5. Ghana, bumping Canada clean off the list!
That's it for this week! Have a great week, a great weekend, and I'll see you all back here next week for another new episode!Until the next episode, pretty please do all the things to help the show: rate, review, like, and subscribe. Reach out to DumbEnoughPodcast@Gmail.Com or on any social media if you want to reach me personally. Most importantly, Stay Dumb!
