This podcast is dedicated to sheading light on the disparities African Americans face in the Healthcare system. I want to educate and share information about how we can overcome the challenges we face when receiving care from predominantly white providers. I am a registered nurse, trained doula and a student midwife. This podcast will touch on topics such as hypertension, diabetes and stroke. I will pay special attention African American women, who are three times more likely to die in pregnacy, labor and childbirth. Togther we can heal one another.
