Rainforest Trust Organization
This week, Zoe and I will be discussing the Rainforest Trust Organization. More specifically their project in the Amazon rainforest. Established in 1988, the Rainforest Trust is a non-profit organization that aims to purchase and protect tropical lands, that conserve threatened species, and work with local organizations to help Indigenous communities gain back title to their land.
More specifically, we are going to take a look at the lands of the Amazon Rainforest. Home to 220 Indigenous communities covering more than six million acres, and over 3 million species thriving in the warm moist climate.
