Episode 181: Full UFC 301 RECAP | UFC St. Louis Picks/Predictions | Goodbye, For Now Knee On Belly MMA Podcast

    • Sports News

There's something that just feels right when the UFC is in Brazil and the fights are great! We hope everyone had a great weekend, but it's time to get to it! We start the episode off with a bit of unfortunate news regarding the podcast. Due to our lives's schedules and the ever-growing number of fights, we've decided to step away from weekly podcasting. This isn't us quitting as much as it is us getting a chance to figure out what will work best for all of us to continue to talk and fight with you all. While also still enjoying our own lives as we do this for free. We go more in-depth, but long story short, we will still be making IG, TikTok, and YouTube content, just taking a hiatus from the podcast on the weekly schedule that we've upheld for the better part of 2 years. I know that's a lot, but I promise we'll move into fun fight talk after. From there, we jump into our full UFC 301 recap. Starting off, we talk about Alexandre Pantoja's decision victory over Steve Erceg. We go at length about what could be next for Pantoja and the other contenders in the division. Next, we move into the co-main, which featured the return of the King of Rio, Jose Aldo, and man did he have a return! We have to discuss the idea of him returning to the UFC, as this was the last fight on his contract. We even talk about the possible route for him to get back to a title shot. Moving on, we give a full recap of the rest of the main card and some standout performances on the prelims, as Brazil's talent had a great showing! Next, we give our picks and predictions for UFC St. Louis, headlined by Derrick Lewis vs. Rodrigo Nascimento. We also previewed the co-main event of Joaquin Buckley and Nursulton Ruziboev. Lastly, we covered the news, which was light, but we talked about Shogun entering the UFC Hall of Fame, some fight announcements, and more. Like always, please be sure to like, comment, rate, and subscribe. And again, please give us a little grace as we take this short break. With huge PPVs coming up, there's no way we can stay away for long!
