    After a decade of working in high-end kitchens, Arlette Martinez hung up her chef's hat to study and research food culture and trends. She holds a BA from Concordia University and an MA from the Universitat de Barcelona (UB). Arlette's current work studies social media’s impact on food tourism and the production of cultural discourses surrounding food and travel. Arlette is also a member of the Canadian Association for the Study of Food.
