We are continuing our series on Identity, a Study through 1 Peter. We'll unpack what it looks like when we allow God to transform our hearts, the tension that comes with transformation, and our response to that tension.

Memorial Day is known as a day of remembrance—those who have given up their life so that others may live. We take communion with the same premise in mind. Paul's letter to Corinth helps us better understand the other ordinance that's a "have to" for his church.

1 Peter chapter 3 ends with one of the more difficult passages to understand in the New Testament. Does Peter teach that Jesus preached in Hell? Are we saved through baptism? This Sunday, we consider how a religious or irreligious approach to life falls short and how the Gospel can help us persevere.

Mother’s Day is a day of mixed emotions as some celebrate and honor while others grieve and hurt. This Sunday, we will break from our series in 1 Peter to reflect on a simple truth, “He gets us,” and consider a prayer to help us in our struggles.

It’s not an exhaustive list, but there seem to be three predominant groups in the evangelical Western American church: prize fighters, secret agents, and ambassadors. Peter’s letter helps us see how we might reflect and respond to the group we see ourselves in while considering persecution as followers of Jesus.
