Special Edition: A short Chinese opera performance by me Weekly Sino-MENA Updates by Mingqiao Zhao

Kun Opera is the oldest opera in China, originating over 600 years ago. Men used to sing female roles with falsetto voice, and when women were allow to perform on stage, they continued with this singing technic. It’s is a special sound that many in the modern times do not get to enjoy on a daily basis. This is a short recording of my singing of The Peony Pavilion. I don’t own any recording equipment therefor please excuse the sound quality! I’m also looking forward to singing an Arabic song next time :)
