How To Drive Your Health With Inspiring Play

How To Drive Your Health With Inspiring Play

In this episode we talk about play. Non-productive activities, in essence, though what you’ll find is these activities greatly support our overall productivity. I spent a lot of years with no room for play. I saw it as unproductive. It took a while to notice the joy my friends who played had, and how it seemed to coincide with their success everywhere else. It can be a hard issue for the aspiring and success oriented individual, as the topic of play and fun can sound like a frivolity or luxury and lacks the valor of just pushing toward the big goal. And we all know some people who mainly play and don’t get much done. But you’re not at risk of this. You are likely, very productive. Maybe too productive. And you need some play to inspire and invigorate and rejuvenate you. Some people used to view sleep as a luxury too, and bra about getting 4 hours of sleep. We know better now and I’m so grateful that I find people bragging about getting a solid 8 hours or more! Among the truly successful I see a priority given to play. Budgeting time for non-productive work that gives our emotions a break and our inspiration a boost. In this episode I’m joined by my great friend Randy James, medical doctor and functional medicine expert, as we dig into the concept.

The Problem You Solve Is What Drives You & Others To You - Get Clear On It

The Problem You Solve Is What Drives You & Others To You - Get Clear On It

In this episode I want to help you clarify the problem you solve for others. Think about the nonfiction books you purchase. You get them in hopes they will help you solve a problem you have. You often think we are fulfilling desires, but it’s been well proven that our greatest and primary motivators are problems. And I’m going to help you look at some so-called desires and show how they are really problems we want to solve. Think specifically about where you spend your money, and you’ll find it’s primarily for problems you want to solve. Even with entertainment, are you fulfilling a desire, or are you solving the problem of boredom? The problem of anxiety and worry you want to escape? You’ve had a mundane day and you want some dopamine from food and video games to solve that problem? In a recent episode I gave you a list of people who are known for one thing. I’ll show you here how that one thing is a problem they solve. It’s amazing how so many of us with great offerings, fail to focus and promote what we do as the problem we solve, and from this, we miss out on what drives us and drives people to us. Drive with me a moment.

The Number Two Way To Become A Famous Resource

The Number Two Way To Become A Famous Resource

In this episode we look at one of the key ways to become a famous resource. We started with a masterclass in becoming known, with brand guru Rory Vaden. Rory is known for the topic of obscurity, and helping mission driven messengers not remain a best kept secret. In the last episode I drilled further into Rory’s counsel to become known for one thing. I hope you’ve been working on what you are, or are going to be, known for. Once you decide on that, then you need to go out and tell the world. And if you’re like most people, you go open up an account on every social media platform. You start a newsletter, a blog, a podcast and start doing videos for YouTube and reels everywhere you can.

The Number One Way To Be A Famous Resource

In this episode I’ll give you the number one way to become a famous resource. When I share it, you will immediately agree. I’m not being flippant or confident, as I didn’t come up with this, I’m just the messenger. The answer is one of those super simple truths that you hear and go, “Oh, of course.” Super simple, yet it’s amazing how hard it is for us to clarify, choose, and stick to. Drive with me a moment

Rory Vaden | How To Actually Be Known Instead of Remaining A Best Kept Secret

Rory Vaden | How To Actually Be Known Instead of Remaining A Best Kept Secret

In this episode I'm giving you the recipe for being known. Notice the word recipe. It's actually a term we need to use more in this personal growth space. Everyone is promoting to you that they have the answer for you. The secret. The perfectly baked cake to give you all you want. It doesn't exist. The best you can get is a recipe so you can bake your own cake. So here we have a profound recipe for being known. You have something great to offer. If you are unclear on what it is, or even if you think you know, you want to hear this show and gain some core clarity. But even if you do know what your key offering to the world is, you can die alone with it, without anyone, or many people, ever knowing or experiencing you. It happens all the time. My guest is Rory Vaden and he's literally a master at helping people hone in on their core offering, and effectively get the word out to the world. He's done so well at this that even incredibly established people hire him, like Ed Mylett, Lewis Howes, and Tom & Lisa Bilyeu. Rory is the world’s leading expert on the psychology of influence – which he defines as moving ourselves and others to take action. Rory is a New York Times bestselling author, Hall of Fame Speaker, and 8-Figure Entrepreneur, Rory has become a trusted voice by both the media and consumers alike. Rory works with what he calls, mission driven messengers. People not just trying to be massively influential, but who are literally striving to help and serve humanity. Just some of what we covered in this conversation, "Don't start with why, start with who. Who you want to help." "Our purpose is not what we do, but who we serve." "You are most powerfully positioned to serve the person you once were." He describes how we look to model people who are successful in our given field, and how we emulate what they are doing now and miss doing what they did to get them to where they are now. Which is doing one, specific thing, over and over and over. Rory teaches us to "Get consumed with the person you're supposed to help, not with your peers who are more successful." And a revelation he offered in regards to this is, "There is no fear when you’re thinking about helping someone, only when you are thinking about yourself." Friends, this episode is literally a master class in finding your core offering and effectively bringing it to the marketplace. If you want to influence others, this is the show for you. And if you want to go further, you can talk with Rory's team for free. Go to freebandcall.com/drive. Of course they want your business, but to get it they will do what they teach, and provide great value for free. You can take it and run if you want. They're fine with that, cause they know you'll tell other people. This is the type of strategy they teach. If nothing else, go get a free call with them just to see how they do it, and use what you learn for yourself. freebrandcall.com/drive

How To Clarify What You Are Becoming

How To Clarify What You Are Becoming

In this episode we want to gain clarity on what we are in fact, becoming. You are working to grow, which means you are looking to become…something. Something more, but what? If you don’t have a clear destination in mind, you are likely to wander. Imagine going out in your car to travel, but without a clear place to go. “I’m just traveling!” But we often do this in our growth. “I’m just seeking growth!” Well, to what end? Who are you striving to become. Another aspect is the reality that you are in fact becoming…something. Every day. You are evolving or devolving or remaining stagnant, which is still a becoming. “Yeah, over time, Arnold just became…stagnant. Stuck.” We happen to our transformation or our transformation happens to us. I’m joined by Randy James, Medical Doctor, Functional Medicine expert and one of my favorite allies in striving to grow and become. This is a candid discussion to humbly look at our propensities as humans and the challenge this reality of becoming can be even for aspiring people.
