    Andreas Zetzsche joined Carlsquare as a Partner in 2021 and is a distinguished professional
    with a multifaceted background. Alongside his role as an Advisor, Investor, and Mentor, he
    currently serves as Chair Affiliate Mergers & Aquisitions at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of
    Management. He has been a key figure in the international M&A landscape. Prior to joining
    Carlsquare, he held the position of Group Head of M&A at RWE, where, from the company's
    Essen headquarters, he orchestrated numerous significant M&A transactions, including
    ventures in the dynamic realm of capital markets. Before his role at RWE, Andreas served as
    the Managing Director of the European Chemical Group at Chase Manhattan Bank in London,
    reflecting his international leadership and financial acumen. With a solid foundation in
    business education and a proven track record in strategic financial decision-making, Andreas
    Zetzsche exemplifies versatility and proficiency in navigating complex financial landscapes.
    His contributions extend beyond the corporate world, as he advises Start-ups and invests
    seed capital in promising ventures. As a Partner at Carlsquare, Andreas continues to be a

    Political tensions and the safety of our data (feat. Axel Voss)

    Axel Voss is a German politician for the Christian Democratic Union in the European Parliament since 2009. Since 2017, he has been the Coordinator of the European People’s Party group in the Committee of Legal Affairs. This also reflects his background as a graduate of the University of Trier in International and European Law. He assisted in the UN Department of the Technical Corporation for Development in New York. Further, he is no stranger to the beautiful Rhine Valley, having finished a traineeship at the Supreme Court of Provincial Appeal in Koblenz. Afterward, he started working as a lawyer before joining the regional Commission Representation in Bonn, as well as teaching European Affairs at the University of Applied Science Koblenz. Mr Voss is an expert on data protection. In our talk with Mr Voss, we focus on his political work in this special field, his view on the geopolitical tensions with a special focus on the digital landscape, and how his party can better connect with young people.

    Sie verfügt über mehr als zehn Jahre Erfahrung im Finanzsektor, zunächst als Managerin bei DnB NORD (Immobilienfinanzierung), mit einer Verantwortung von über 20 Mitarbeitern und einem Finanzierungsvolumen von 250 Mio. € pro Jahr. Aktuell ist sie Beiratsmitglied bei CoWomen, wie auch Präsidentin bei der nonprofit Organisation Mind the Gap e.V..

    Nach ihrem Abschluss des Bachelors an der Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover, fing sie an als Botschafterin für „GermanDream“ zu arbeiten, wo sie mit jungen Menschen an Schulen in ganz Deutschland über Demokratie und liberale, tolerante und pluralistische Gesellschaftsordnungen sprach. Aktuell arbeitet sie in ihrem eigenen Unternehmen und schreibt Artikel für RND.
