日前这名未被透露姓名的教练因致使该少女死亡的指控而出庭。
蹦极是一项流行的刺激运动。2015年，维拉在坎塔布里亚的大桥参加蹦极时，身上拴着绳子，但绳子另一端却没有系在桥上。
教练告诉她，"no jump"(不要跳)，但这名教练的发音实在太差，以至于维拉以为他说的是"快跳"(now jump)，所以她跳了下去，意外早逝。
法庭听取了蹦极中维拉因误解口令而不幸死亡的过程。如果当时这位教练使用词组"don't jump" (不要跳)而不是"不跳"(no jump)，这个悲剧就可以避免。
