Ed Stewart (deceased) - 20 Questions

Ed Stewart (deceased) - 20 Questions

Ed Stewart (23 April 1941 – 9 January 2016) had a long and illustrious career in broadcasting. Perhaps best known for presenting "Junior Choice" on BBC Radio, Ed started his career in Hong Kong, he was a radio pirate in the mid sixties before becoming a BBC stalwart and presenter of the Friday evening childrens' programme "Crackerjack". Shout it! This programme was originally broadcast on The Wireless and included Ed's favourite five pieces of music. For rights reasons we can't leave the music in the podcast so you may just hear the odd end note in the edit. The Everton chat really dates the recording!

Ex-dancer and now Boom Light radio presenter, Susie Sharp, visited Dame Gillian in her London home, a few years before she died.

    Jim Dale - 20 Questions

    Jim Dale - 20 Questions

Jim Dale is fondly remembered for the 11 Carry On movies he appeared in but his career was so much richer than that. He was invited by Sir Laurence Olivier to join the National Theatre where he did Shakespeare. He starred on Broadway in Barnam and his awards are two numerous to mention. Just from seeing him you'd think he was a lovely guy but in the interview studio - he's even lovelier! Enjoy this romp through the life and times of Jim Dale. Jim picks some of his favourite music which sadly we can't play in a podcast but it's interesting to hear the choices.
