29. 15 Min Solar Plexus Chakra Meditation Reclaim Your Power

    • Självhjälp

I recommend listening to this meditation for 5-7 days to connect with the solar plexus chakra and call in a healthy relationship with the ego, focus, and motivation. Below is some background on this chakra.

-HEADPHONES HIGHLY ENCOURAGED-

The chakra we'll be connecting with in this meditation and email is the Solar Plexus Chakra. (Manipura chakra in Sanskrit) This chakra is located at the diaphragm, slightly below the chest, and the color associated here is yellow. The element of fire and the vowel sound "OH" is also associated with the solar plexus chakra. In a lot of spiritual texts, dialogues and among well known spiritual gurus and philosophers, the solar plexus is thought to be the home of the ego. The ego is the part of you that craves to put a label or structure on things. It's the "I am" part of your being. Every person on this planet has an ego and it's there for a reason. Unfortunately, in our modern times the ego doesn't serve much purpose and often can hinder our growth or keep us in toxic cycles. The solar plexus chakra is the seat of our thinking mind and is often associated with the "left brain"- trying  to understand the world through a logical standpoint, separating self from others and creating structure in the world

The function of this chakra is I-consciousness, experiencing yourself existing in a nutshell.  Some other associations with the solar plexus chakra are logic, intellect, reasoning, will, drive, determination, balance, clarity, being able to focus, decision making, motivation , courage, fairness, problem solving, and "time and place" perspective.

When this chakra is blocked or unbalanced some common issues that can occur are self-centeredness, fear, disengagement, confusion, worry, and overthinking. Blockages in this center can cause one to feel a sense of lack of self control or on the other hand, try to control things to an unhealthy degree.

The solar plexus chakra when balanced, allows us to access a natural sense of drive, grit and willpower that is always available within us. We will feel supported in being flexible and present, navigating what life throws at us, and not needing to have everything figured out at once. When Manipura is balanced life feels like a perfectly flowing river.
