Chapter 6
Welcome to Chapter 6. This episode, Elyse discusses information that leads to the discovery of Jaclyn’s body behind a parking lot of a residential apartment complex. Elyse will go into detail about all the key players who were involved in this segment of the cold case. She will provide information about who called in the tip about the location of Jaclyn’s body as well as go into a detailed discussion of how the police responded to this information. Elyse will also discuss all of the pertinent evidence that was presented at the time of the murder. Some evidence is discussed that may be hard to hear, but this podcast is based on court documents, police records, and newspaper articles written at the time of these events as well as her own research. In Chapter 5, Elyse does a deep dive into the days in between Jaclyn being kidnapped and murdered. We are introduced to four prominent investigators whose involvement in the case resulted in even further mishandling of the evidence, which complicated the ability for investigators to return Jaclyn home safely.
This chapter will shed light upon how various pieces of evidence were looked at, analyzed, and studied.
Many questions arose as a result of how the evidence was disregarded. The challenging look at this time will show how David’s statements were precarious and confusing.
