    • Självhjälp

While self-care is an important part of flourishing, it’s important to extend our focus to “other care” and community wellbeing. Our actions can have a positive impact, creating a ripple effect that extends to our communities. In this episode, host Brenda Jasmin engages in an insightful conversation with guest, Louis Alloro, a social entrepreneur who has trained and certified thousands of people leaders and workplaces in applied positive psychology and wellbeing science.

Brenda and Louis’s conversation took place on the International Day of Happiness in March 2024, and they took the opportunity to focus on this year’s theme of “Happier Together” as it applies to community wellbeing.

Louis discusses his work in creating evidence-based learning experiences that enhance community wellbeing through positive psychology and the science of wellbeing. Listen in as Louis and Brenda talk about the importance of community wellbeing, the role of social emotional leadership, and practical applications of positive psychology interventions in communities. Examples include the Certificate of Applied Positive Psychology (CAPP) program and impactful community projects, emphasizing the concept of being happier together. Louis introduces an upcoming project aimed at creating happier cities across Canada and what you can do if you’d like to get involved.
