The Arabic culture is a rock of deep, rich and embedded traditions that has held closely to its traditions
▪️
Social media is a tidal wave of new technology that is quickly changing the way we interact and live our lives
▪️
And when you consider our position within the Arab culture the way we interact with social media is very unique
▪️
We break down how, as Arabs of today, we're caught in the middle of these two powerful forces -

We've invited Dima on to share her story that turned out to be bigger and more complicated than we could have ever imagined. The ways and complications the mental pressure of divorce brings on to a woman in our community is more nuanced than you'd ever realize. Until you can hear from someone who has been through it. If that weren't enough we uncover a VERY distrubing fact about the literal PROCCESS of divorce. Again something you WON'T hear and could NOT come to realize independently. -

How many of us can say we know what our parents went through?
Leaving a homeland to journey to a foreign nation of foreign values, language, culture and tradition.
Out of necessity for survival.
Do we really understand what that does to a person?
How many of us really know what happened in detail.
Apart from loose stories here and there and how school was uphill both ways.
And how somehow all our Dad's were the toughest kids in the street.
This gap we have here,
between old generation and new.
This missing narrative
can tell us A LOT about why things are they way they are.
Through a shepard of the old generation, Abu Ameer,
we explore our culture and traditions from an experienced perspective
that has seen both sides.
And we try to come to terms with both.
