A small voice with a big heart
Ben Smith's interviews are honest and open. He gains the confidence of his guests very quickly and gets them to open up, answering personal and professional questions alike.
There's no reference to technology, f stops or cameras. These podcasts are about the personal histories, the motivations and the emotional experience of being a photographer.
I started listening a few months ago and have got through quite a few of the previous casts. Every single one has been interesting and engaging.
I hope Ben has the energy and motivation to continue the series for a very long time.

Ben Smith is a wonderfully, curious and inspiring podmaster. He has gone for the answers that I think many if us photographers are looking for. The answers to questions like: why is he/she so succéful?, how did she/he go about getting there?, what did it cost?, are they happy? And maybe also: can I go there? Love it!!
