Adam Shand At Large is a deep dive into the world of a working true crime journalist. Adam Shand is one of Australia’s most accomplished true crime authors and podcasters. A Walkley Award winner, Adam has worked in television, print and radio, while publishing six true crime books. He also creates podcasts for the NSW and Victoria Police Forces.

The Boy Who Took Down Derek Percy
In 1969, 11 year old Shane Spiller saw his friend Yvonne Tuohy taken by serial killer Derek Ernest Percy. Spiller identified the killer who was jailed for the rest of his life. But Shane's life was destroyed by the trauma of identifying the sadistic killer. He disappeared from a small town in southern NSW in 2002. Adam talks to Mark Winterflood the police officer who searched for Shane and learnt about the sad life of the boy who took down Derek Percy.

Mr Rent-A-Kill 2 - The Skull's Story
In the highly anticipated second edition of our 'Mr Rent-A-Kill' series, Adam speaks to the late great Brian 'The Skull' Murphy. In their final interview, Murphy recalls his experiences with Christopher Dale Flannery, the contract killer known as Mr Rent-a-Kill, and the unresolved murder, which Murphy believed that Flannery committed.

A Tribute to Brian "The Skull" Murphy
The late Brian "Skull" Murphy was renowned as a hard man but he could also talk to people, . He was my friend and mentor for over 20 years and he taught me his method, what he called "slychology." One night in 1975, Murphy's skills were put to the test in a tense stand-off with a soldier returned from Vietnam. Of all the stories he told me as I wrote his biography, this was the one that meant the most to Brian.
