Adapting UPS for Smart Grid Applications Talk Power

Over the last decade, we have seen a profound evolution of UPS systems. From their predominantly transformer based, industrial origins, today's UPS systems are more versatile, more flexible and more efficient than anyone believed they could be. It's these technological advancements that have enabled UPS manufacturer, Borri SPA, to branch out into applications not typically associated with uninterruptible power supplies, such as peak shaving and power buffering. 

In this episode of Talk Power, Graeme Tucker, Sales Director at Power Control, talks to Product Specialist Stefania Ceccarini from Borri SPA about how UPS systems can be modified to be used for these specialist applications and what's on the horizon for UPS systems in the coming years.
