I have followed stuff Jake has produced ever since Pretty Much It was pretty much just three friends and a table, talking about their favourite things. Seven years later, Because Video Games is one of my favourite podcasts, and a Thursday morning staple that I never miss. Embarrassingly *not* because of my interest in video games (I wouldn’t know a thing about them if it wasn’t for this podcast) but because Jake and Andrew are two best buds talking about their favourite things, and it is the most pleasant, funny, authentic, and effortlessly positive podcast I know. Andrew and Jake sit down once a week to chat about whatever, mostly video games and movies, but often also about what’s going on with them in life. It’s a simple concept, which is exactly why it works so well. No frills, no edits, no prestige; just a casual, honest conversation that makes you feel like you’re catching up with old friends. Ten outta ten.
