    Important note: Leave No Trace

    Important note: Leave No Trace

With a big increase in first time RV and travel trailer owners in 2020 there has been an increase in people leaving campsites in less than ideal conditions. Just in the last few months many areas throughout the United States have closed off areas to dispersed camping due to the messes that are being left. We wanted to do a short episode to raise awareness to the problem this is becoming and to offer several of the principles of “leave no trace” to help those who may be new to camping. Please pass this along and help others to learn these and other principles of “leave no trace” so that we can keep our public lands open to enjoy for years to come.

Big Family Tiny Camping Season 1 Trailer

Welcome to Big Family Tiny Camping. Throughout this podcast we are going to explore the world of traveling, camping, and rv’ing small and how it can be done with a big family. Join us and our four, soon to be five children as we fill you in on our adventures traveling and camping tiny. We have a small teardrop trailer and a rooftop tent. So far our adventures have taken us around our home in Eastern Idaho, through Utah, Wyoming, Montana, South Dakota, Nevada, Arizona, and California and we have more planned that’ll take us to other states. In this podcast we plan to cover the why’s and how’s of camping tiny, even with a big family. We will share some tips and tricks we’ve learned along the way, share some modifications that we’ve done to accommodate a big family, tell you about some of the great campsites we find and maybe some we were less impressed with. We will give you some reviews and information on some gear we have and have used. We will share some organizational ideas we have found that have helped us. We hope you’ll join us on our adventures. In our first episode we plan to discuss why we chose a small camping setup and why we think they are the way to go. Listen in when that episode drops, until then like us on Facebook: Facebook.com/bigfamilytinycamping. There we will post some photos and other things to go along with the topics we discuss in the podcast. We are also on Instagram. Thanks for listening.
