EP: 77 Be Right Back w/ Amer Woods

EP: 77 Be Right Back w/ Amer Woods

This is for the travel enthusiasts, aspiring travelers, and those who get inspiration from vicarious globetrotting. We met up with Amer of “Be Right Back” travel consulting (@amariebrb), who caught the travel bug after a 2017 trip to Cuba. While that trip had its challenges, she found an amazing travel crew and since then she’s literally been around the world. Of course we talked about food, R&R, and local culture. For example, where you may or may not want to try the street food, where a smaller hotel may be better than a well-known chain, and where there’s another city that never sleeps. Even though her passport is full, Amer actually narrowed down her top three destinations without too much hesitation. She has a pulse on what the feel is in different countries right now and her tips could come in handy for planning your next international travel. As a bonus, she shared her perspective on experiencing the rest of the world as a black traveler, and she’s excited about being a new freelance contributor to the Travel Noire (@travelnoire) platform.

EP: 76 The Future of Church w/ B.A. Jackson

EP: 76 The Future of Church w/ B.A. Jackson

It’s a new day and current events can take us in so many different directions. What about church though? Is it still relevant? Can it help? What’s legit and what’s extra? Pastor B.A. Jackson of Atlanta area Fellowship of Love Church (@folchurch) was here for the breakdown of these questions, and it was so necessary. In all honesty, we felt like this was part of a longer conversation. Pastor Jackson admits that in the past he didn’t like going to church. Even now it takes work for him to find the right balance between organized religion and walking in his purpose. His vision is to revolutionize the idea and impact of church—aspects that many of us struggle with even if we were raised in the church. “What would love ask of me?” is the question that guides him as a servant leader in his church and the larger community. He’s also seen how
church can offer us spiritual wellness in a very real way if we focus on what’s important. Tune in for a fresh perspective. You can also find his latest book “Live Greater, Think Deeper, Love
    Better” at www.bajackson.com.

Morgan explains balancing the connection between her mental health and creativity. How it's important to be able to emotionally share when you're down and being honest about your mental health in relationships but also respecting that not everyone can handle that.
