In this weeks episode, I had the honor to speak with Caroline Bowman. 5 years after seeing Bowman play Elphaba in Wicked on Broadway, I got the opportunity to interview her for my podcast. Bowman made her Broadway debut as the understudy for Elphaba in 2011, and left for a short period of time to be part of the original cast of Kinky Boots. Shortly after her run in Kinky Boots, Caroline came back and played the "Green Girl" full time. In addition to being part of the original cast of Kinky Boots, Bowman got to play the principal role she understudied for originally in the closing cast as well. Now, Caroline and her husband, Austin Colby (before Corona) are on the Frozen North American Tour where she gets to "Let it Go." every night as Elsa, while Austin plays Prince Hans of the Southern Isles. Bowman is a true force of wonderful in the broadway community, and I encourage all of my listeners to check out her work whether it is online, on broadway, or when The Frozen North American Tour comes to a city near you, when the show picks up again.
