Moshe is not mentioned in this Parsha, unlike anywhere else in
the Chumash; from when Moshe was born, there is no Parsha in
which he wasn’t mentioned besides for in Mishneh Torah (Sefer
Devarim.) The reason is because he said (to G-d), “Erase me
from the book which You wrote,” and the word of a scholar,
even if conditional, is ultimately fulfilled (Makos 11).
