I the first day of the next part of my life

I the first day of the next part of my life

My podcast is moving more away from disability and into healing and recovery, from where I started to where I’m headed. A podcast ago, I knew I was changing direction but I didn’t know where or what path. I think I have that now also, I will in the next podcast introduce my other half. You're getting to know the brain-damaged totally Trumatic brain, but you will know the Lesbian totally Trumatic brain. That’s a journey in itself. I won’t go into that because my second book will go into all of that and much more. The second book is all of me, so those of you out there struggling with relationships or wherever you are on the spectrum. Maybe I’ll have something for you. When it comes down to love, rejection, and heartache, to me, it’s really much the same, but it isn’t the same, and a lesbian relationship is not a straight relationship. With all the issues in the news and in stores about Pride. I want to cover that. I found community LGs that feel the way I do and we’ve started a few groups so we have companionship. All right, I better get to work. Have a better day today than you did yesterday.

    Identity for disabled

    Identity for disabled

I realize from my last podcast that I was talking about identity. Be careful what you identify with. I have never identified with my Disability. I ignored it and the more I ignored it the better my career was, but I did not deny it there’s a difference and I’ll go there later, but I screwed up my future by identifying with my disability working in a disability for disability environment. If you absorb yourself with disability, being disabled, working with disabled, that are very similar actually to your disability, cognitive disability, you lose your self in your care and your love, your compassion, everybody gains but you. My, let’s talk about it.

Surviving the title, title wave. Recovery through faith and personal awareness and growth.

Surviving the title, title wave. Recovery through faith and personal awareness and growth.

I’ve been through event since my accident December 25, 2021. What come out of that accident would’ve broken most people but I’m not most people. I don’t want you to be most people. I survived horrific awakening to learn. People will stab you in the back. I learned the truth is horrible. Face it. Get over it. Not to trust if you lead with heart and compassion. I was caught, unaware because I cared. When you have a disability. I suggest you avoid working with people with disabilities. You may lean in that direction. I got caught in that briar patch. I didn’t think hard enough about myself because I was leading with my heart. I did so much and I’m happy for that but not how I was treated. So this podcast essentially is giving you some thoughtful tools. I always survive but my main goal is your recovery and if you can learn through my situation’s then that’s why I’m here.

The Good. The Bad. The Ugly Truth about Support Services

The Good. The Bad. The Ugly Truth about Support Services

In this podcast, I talk about my work with supportive services referred to as ILS or SLS. Also regarding caregivers who are hired to care for your friend or family member. We have a growing problem in this "care" industry. In this episode, I discuss the problem and my thoughts on resolution. But one thing is sure if you have someone who is being cared for by another individual make sure there is some accountability and clear about what that assignment is and see it is carried out. I was fortunate to have my mother. My left brain. She gave up her life to see I had one. Instead of remaining dependent after my accident. My mother was told by so-called professionals. I would not have a job or go to school. Today I am an author. I am a lawyer. I mediate in the area of disabilities and affordable housing. I attained my dreams and goals. But may there never be an end to our dreams or goals. I want you to be fulfilled and know that no matter where you're starting from. You can achieve everything you want to achieve. caregivers can be detrimental or instrumental!!!!
