    #10 Eugene O’Riordan & Caoivín

Eugene O’Riordan is a Japanese Yoga and Meditation teacher and a modern-day Irish sage

He was first introduced to me by Caoivín who had spent time living with Eugene in a Workaway exchange, which essentially means you help out with tasks in exchange for bedding. Based on his suggestion I travelled down to stay with him in Cork myself. Eugene made a huge impression on both of us so I’m delighted to be able to bring us all together for this insightful conversation.

Caoivín is an Irish musician and an all-around incredible human. One of his songs was influenced by and features Eugene which I’ll link in the show notes.

There's a depth of wisdom in this episode with much to learn from this wonderful man.

Dr Holly Corboy is a Clinical Psychologist who’s work focuses on autistic children and adults.

It was a thought-provoking conversation that I thoroughly enjoyed. We touched on mindset, different psychology fields, cognitive behavioural therapy and insights into autism.

Neurodiversity affirmative information can be found on https://sunderlandpsychology.wordpress.com/2021/04/02/autism-awareness-week/

Holly would like to note that while she works with Autistic people, she doesn’t speak for them given that it is their identity and not hers. She suggests seeking out resources created by Autistic people in order to understand their experiences.

#6 How to Get Rich (without getting lucky)

#6 How to Get Rich (without getting lucky)

I had the fortune of sitting down with my good friend and brother, Danny Campion on his Prymal podcast. We discussed a topic that we are both passionate about - how to generate wealth and live a fulfilling life.

Naval Ravikant, in my opinion, is one of the greatest thinkers of our time and has played a significant role in influencing my thinking over the years.

Naval published a series of Tweets, titled ‘How to Get Rich (without getting lucky)’. Naval made many powerful, concise and thought-provoking points on creating the conditions that will help you generate wealth in your life, as well as how to live a fulfilling life.

Naval is an investor, entrepreneur, and respected thought leader in the tech world and other domains of life. Naval was an early investor in Twitter, Uber, and Notion. He has also been an open advocate of blockchain and crypto technology for many years now.

In this episode, Danny and I discuss and interpret 4-5 of the points from Naval's Twitter thread, in detail. The aim of this conversation was to refine our own thinking.

Danny and I are aligned on our goals of generating wealth and our perspectives on finance. It was a treat to expand our minds further and also record the conversation. Hopefully, others will get value from our discussion.

It was a pleasure to sit down with Danny again and have such a stimulating conversation. This is the first of many podcasts that we'll produce around Naval's points.

I’ve decided to post this on my podcast, Curious with Darren. I feel many people could potentially gain insight and value from our chats. Especially, in Irish culture where many of us have much resistance to talking about wealth.

I’m thankful if you decide to tune in and genuinely hope it can bring some value to you!

Here's a link to Naval's Tweet thread if you'd like to read it; https://twitter.com/naval/status/1002103360646823936?s=20&t=dqoRaUOiMMEFL6ZRdzx1lA

    #5 Karl Cosgrove

Karl’s a wonderful being and it was a great pleasure to have him on.

We had a great conversation that covered different topics - Ireland, travelling, singing, music and Karls's experience assisting in ayahuasca circles for a number of years, which is fascinating.

I think there’s great value for anyone considering alternative approaches in dealing with the internal storms that can over empower us. It also sheds light on what happens in these circles, for anyone curious to understand this world better.

Karl played a beautiful acoustic rendition of his track, Unwritten

This episode hasn’t got an introduction at the moment but I’ll aim to upload one next week.
