Listener, in this episode I will be laser focusing on both Kobe and Gigi bryant. There is a lot of information that surrounds this specific disaster. And, yes, I am well aware that there were nine fatalities. That these people all lived their own distinct lives. But, to be frank, the information present would be redundant. There are only so many things that can happen to the human body from a helicopter.
With this episode of Disaster, I want to focus on the flight itself. The crash. And the immediate, devastating aftermath. Please note: I will not be covering the police taking pictures of the bodies and the subsequent court case. I feel that this gets into true crime territory, and I want to focus on the specific catastrophic disaster.

The crew were working a bridge rehabilitation project. The bridge itself was incomplete. Water Barrels were used to form guard rails. One car veered and knocked several barrels off the side of the bridge. Loren Schauers was tasked to fix the problem. He was asked to operate a forklift to bring the barrels back on the bridge. This was something Schauers wasn't trained to do.
