Dossier 5 (Joseph Miranda‪)‬ Status: Pending

    • Verkliga brott

It was 2006 and 19-year-old Joseph Miranda was working at a landscape company in Maryland, called Outside Unlimited. It was nearing the end of his shift and he was ready to head out and meet up with some friends. However, it was summer time and his company was working on some major landscaping projects with deadlines. So, his supervisor asked him to finish up one more task so that he would be ahead of the game for his shift the following morning. That’s when everything changed. Joseph attempted to complete the task but there was one Bobcat in the yard, and it was already in use by another employee. So, Joseph talked to the driver on the Bobcat and decided to wait his turn. It was a normal day, nothing out of the ordinary, really; and Joseph didn’t know that waiting to complete this particular task would turn deadly.

Was it a tragic workplace accident? Perhaps; as that’s what was initially reported. The medical examiner ended up changing the manner of death from accidental to homicide by assault. So, was it something more sinister? More intentional?

Special thanks to Adrienne Miranda (Joseph’s mother)
Special thanks to Damian (Joseph’s uncle)
