We are here to share the Gospel of truth of our Lord Jesus Christ to the world.

Why the Law is important in the preaching of the gospel

Why the Law is important in the preaching of the gospel

    1. The law shows us our sins: "Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin." -Romans 3:20-

Even the Gentiles cannot work out for their justification before God. Doing good in not the way of gaining eternal life of being right with God.

    2. The law shows us the need for the Savior: "But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify (Romans 3:21, NIV)."

Both the work of the law in the Jews and the law in the conscious of the Gentiles shows that people have sinned against God and they need the Savior to save them from the wrath of God which is made clear in their condemnation seen in their conscious (for the gentiles) written in the Scripture and seen in their conscious (for the Jews)

    3. Until we know the details around our wrong doing we cannot see the need for being saved or asking for mercy from God.

    4. It will be difficulty to understand the doctrine of justification and its implications: the idea of the righteousness of Christ accounted to the sinner by faith can be grasped well within the framework of the law operating as the convicting and condemning one.

The working of God's word in a believer

"God does not only use His word to renew us which may constitute training us so that we can do every good work but He uses His word also to teach us to expect such good work of God to continue in our lives."

Two wrong views that John corrects in 1 John 2:1-2

Two wrong views that John corrects in 1 John 2:1-2

1 John 2:1-2: “My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense — Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world (NIV).”

On the holiness of God and Jesus Christ being the way to the Father

On the holiness of God and Jesus Christ being the way to the Father

"Having a low view of the holiness of God leads one to not understand why Jesus is the only way to the Father. By knowing the holiness of God, one would know the weight of the privilege it is to have access to the Holy God through Christ, which this generation by those who claim to call upon the Lord have undermined by turning such grace into a means of gaining worldly things and demand that God do what they asked because of some great faith. The practice in itself shows that it does not understand the grace of approaching God because once you demand based on some faith you have it is no longer based on the grace of the one you are approaching but on the terms of your faith. Such a sad reality that this generation has put itself in."

    CONVICTIONS

    CONVICTIONS

All human beings possess the common trait which is convictions. We all have convictions whether those convictions are true or false, wrong or right that is another story. Convictions regulates and controls behavior. In short behavior is the by-product of convictions. Whatever a person’s behavior, how we respond to circumstances, situation, trouble, difficulties is a reflection of our convictions. Our worldview and reality is seen through our convictions. Convictions dictate our relationship with other people and how we socialize in the community.

    WHO IS JESUS CHRIST?

    WHO IS JESUS CHRIST?

Who is Jesus Christ?  The answer to the question is foundational to our faith. It is the Rock upon which the Church stands. It is therefore, necessary that the Church constantly teach the truth about who Christ is until He comes.  In this article I am going to answer this question by addressing just the eternal attribute of Christ from 1 John 1:1 and Colossian 1:15-18.  It is my prayer that the glory of God revealed in this truth about our Lord Jesus will transform our lives and shape our worship for His glory, Amen!
