    This is the final episode of our first season. This follow-up discussion (start with ep 19), was recorded on August 17th 2021 and focuses on the general topic of Scripture Engagement.     In episode 19 we learned some of the background that brought Michelle Petersen and David Gray into scripture engagement. In this episode Dr. Wayne Dye will share about his own background in scripture engagement that brought him to where he is today. Later on, Michelle shares a common misconception about the timing of when scripture engagement begins. We will also look at training opportunities for those who want to explore scripture engagement further, from 1-hour online sessions to certificates and masters of arts programs.

    Episodes 17 and 18, recorded on June 16th 2021, feature Johannes and Sharon Merz, both of whom are anthropologists with SIL. For the past several years they have been leading a training track at EMDC called Culturally Intelligent Media. The Merzs are both lecturers at Moorlands College in the U.K. and work in Benin, West Africa.

    During this episode, part 2 of 2, the Merzs unveil the new training track name and reasoning behind that change. They also discuss a possible future online training, though that is likely still far out. And we'll delve a bit into some personal background and learn how the Swiss Johannes met the Brit Sharon. As the episode concludes, the Merzs recommend some general reading on anthropology which includes the following titles:

Josiah Palusky with Renew World Outreach and Julie Ah Sen with Hope Tech Global also shares stories of how their devices are being used in the field, costs and how to order, and future products currently in development.
