After a few months off, I thought it would be great to kick off season 2 with some nutritional advice & food talk with registered nurse, newly qualified associate Nutritionist AND food content creative; Emily Moreton.

British Pear & ginger flapjack granola:
125g butter
A pinch of salt
200g Porridge oats
1tsp vanilla extract
2tbsp honey 
80g dried pear or other dried fruit such as apricot
50g raisins
50g chopped dates
100g mixed seeds
100g chopped nuts
1tsp cinnamon
2tsp ginger
150g coarsely grated pear
~ Pre-heat the oven to 160°C. Line a square tin with some greaseproof paper. Melt the butter, honey, salt, vanilla and dried fruit in a saucepan until well combined. Mix the oats and spices in a bowl with the nuts and seeds and add in the grated pear. Add the wet mixture to the dry and mix well then add the mixture to the baking tray and press down firmly. Bake for around 30 minutes until golden. Allow to cool before cutting as they will fall apart quite a lot. You can keep them as flapjacks or crumble them up as granola or half and half
