- Religion och spiritualitet
In this fifth episode (the second of a two-parter), Rodney and Sarah interview the Rev. Kyle Childress. Kyle has been the pastor of Austin Heights Baptist Church in the piney woods of Nacogdoches, Texas since 1989. Highly committed to racial reconciliation, he founded the community-wide annual Martin Luther King Commemoration Service in 1991 and is the first white member of a historically African-American ministerial alliance.
Have a listen. Thanks for coming to the farm.
Located along the east prong of Sister Grove Creek in the Lavon Watershed of the Trinity River Basin is a place called Sister Grove Farm. As we get to know, learn from, and fall in love with this patch of Blackland Prairie we invite you to join us. Farmers Sarah and Rodney speak with academics, farmers, and pastors/theologians on how faith and farming intersect.
