Being a model in fashion most times involves having a singular focus of showcasing products and items. They main goal is to assist various brands by advertising and displaying pieces visually. Today we speak with, Elisha Glass whose focus is beyond the world of modeling. He is a multi-hyphenate, model-teacher-trainer-designer living and thriving in New York City.

We sit down and chat with an extremely talented fashion design student, Emily Colquhoun. Emily gives us her perspective on how perusing an education in fashion is helping her hone in her skills. She shares the pros and cons on fashion education. As well as finding her place in the world of fashion and where she sees herself after she graduates.

Ms. Tracy Green and Ms. Nancey Harris started the Vontélle brand out of necessity. This is where Vontélle the brand was created. Vontélle is Tracy’s middle name and when translated from French means, “There she goes”, or “you go”.

We are talking about the night in 1973 that American Fashion was forever changed. Five French designers and Five American designers were pitted against each other and only one was victorious. American fashion not only won the night but so did Black music, Black designs and Black models.
