Episode 3 - You Are Not The Problem, You Are The Problem Solver!

Episode 3 - You Are Not The Problem, You Are The Problem Solver!

From the outside looking in, it may have looked as if Jesus was the problem, simply because so many people had an issue with him, when in fact, he was sent to fix the problem.

In a society where we are taught to do things one way, the one who chooses a different path will always seem like the oddball that doesn't belong. He stirred up the spirits in the people around him in a way that triggered many, but those triggers were meant to bring healing. That's why he said he didn't come to bring peace but came with the sword. He wasn't playing about his assignment and didn't care who had an issue with what he was called to do. He was about His Father's business! Period!

Episode 2 - Your Wait Is Not In Vain

Episode 2 - Your Wait Is Not In Vain

Jesus didn't begin his ministry until age 30, the woman with the issue of blood waited 12 years for healing, and Joseph waited in prison for 2 years before the chief cupbearer remembered him.

There is an appointed time for everything. The cupbearer forgetting Joseph once he was released was part of God's plan, because it was not yet the appointed time. It wasn't until Pharaoh was in need of someone who could do only what Joseph could do (interpret dreams), that he was remembered by the cupbearer. It was now the appointed time.

At times it may feel like we are forgotten by God or as if He is sabotaging our plans, but that's only because His plans for us are much greater. If we are willing to wait for the appointed time, we will see the manifestation of His promises and receive our testimony.

    Episode 1 - Bible Study: Psalms 32:8-9

    Episode 1 - Bible Study: Psalms 32:8-9

Psalms 32:8-9 is a passage that speaks to the guidance and instruction that God provides to those who seek Him.

    Psalm 32:8-9

8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. 9 Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you.

Let’s break down the meaning of these verses:

    Verse 8:

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.”

This verse conveys the idea that God offers guidance, teaching, and counsel to those who are willing to seek His wisdom. It emphasizes God’s personal involvement in directing the paths of individuals. The phrase “I will counsel you with my loving eye on you” underscores the caring nature of God’s guidance. It signifies that God’s instruction is given with love and is tailored to the unique circumstances of each person.

    Verse 9:

“Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you.”

Definition of bit and bridle - The bit, bridle and reins function together to give control of the horse's head to the rider. The bit applies pressure to the horse's mouth, and reinforces the other control signals from the rider's legs and weight distribution. A well schooled horse needs little pressure on the bit from a skilled rider.

This verse serves as a cautionary analogy. Horses and mules require external control through reins and bits because they lack understanding and discernment. In contrast, the Psalmist encourages humans not to be stubborn or resistant to God’s guidance, but rather to be open to His instruction and wisdom. By using this analogy, the verse suggests that God’s guidance is meant to be embraced willingly, with an understanding heart, rather than requiring external force.

In summary, Psalms 32:8-9 conveys the idea of God’s loving guidance and instruction. It encourages us to be receptive to His counsel, acknowledging that His wisdom is provided with care and tailored to our individual circumstances. The verses also urge us to be open and willing to follow God’s guidance willingly, rather than being stubborn like animals that require external control.

    Scriptures mentioned in episode:

    James 1:5

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
