Ground Level Politics Society

In this special episode, René and Isak reflect on the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus. Recorded last April, this episode is a candid snapshot of an uncertain time, during which René returned to his large family in North Carolina, and Isak got stuck in New York City, then the eye of the storm. On our last episode BC (Before Coronavirus ruined the semester), we welcome Stéphane Mao on how racism has arisen in the wake of the Coronavirus. While we're in a very different situation now than we were back then (we recorded the episode on March 7th, when New York had just declared a state of emergency, but the recorded number of cases was under 100), we believe that the racism Stéphane discusses is as relevant now as it was then.
