In this episode, we discuss our experiences and thoughts on Asian representation in media. Representation in media has drastically changed from when we were growing up as students to our current "adult" selves. Specifically, the range of an Asian character was often limited, stereotypical, and even offensive. This lack of a mainstream and "normal" Asian character in popular media affected how we were growing up, and gave us a skewed idea of what a typical Asian should be in America. However, great strides have been taken and representation has grown to encompass more than what is on the big and small screen. Today, we discuss how these new influencers have helped foster Asian communities, representation, and why these aspects are so important to us. We hope you enjoy!

みんなさん、こんにちわ。今週のポッドキャストは「アニメを人気になる現象」ということです。というのは、過去時代は今比べて、お欧米な社会でアニメを見ている人なら、多分、典型的な人から偏見を受けたはずです。時代を変わるとともに、この偏見は消える。今、どこに行っても、アニメは様々な社会の体積にある。例えば、見る以外に、グッズとか服の流行とか、美術など社会に広めます。誠にこの現象は素敵なものなので、私たちは幸せになります。アニメの社会と文化はどんどん大きくなって、変わりましたから。



現象以外に、一番好きなアニメと、今どんなアニメを見ていることと、子供のころから今まで、私たちのアニメの記憶と経験を話すことにしました。最初の話について、みんなさんは「ワンピース」というアニメを見るべきです。本当に素晴らしい物語と人物がいるから。



最後に、僕は4年間ぐらい、日本語の能力を使うチャンスはあまりないので、この書いた記述にたくさん間違えものあると思います。この間違えものをすみませんでした！
