The most entertaining content in motorcycling
Seven years ago I by chance found myself working at a really big motorcycle dealership in Sweden. I had no real experience with bikes, and found myself in dire need to quickly learn as much as possible about everything related to the topic. YouTube became my best friend and it was specifically all the videos from Revzilla and Motorcyclist Mag that caught my eye. No matter if it was Lemmy talking about exhausts for a Sportster or Zack and Ari racing modern scramblers where they really shouldn’t, I was instantly hooked.
I can to this day still remember the first article on Common Thread that I read. Since this was right when Triumph released their new 900cc and 1200cc parallel twins for the first time, I stumbled upon Spurgeon and his Bonneville. His story of cross-country riding on that bike made a big impression on me.
Working at a big dealership comes with similar perks as being a moto journalist, you really get to test out all the new toys and different kinds of riding. This combined with how varied the content from both Revzilla as well as what Zack and Ari have been putting out forever, it has made me someone who can get equally excited over riding a small Honda Monkey, a big Street Glide or something more exotic like a KTM/BMW/Triumph. I’ve been working in the industry ever since, and know that no matter what I will ride as long as it’s physically possible.
I want to thank all of you for really jumpstarting my interest back in the day, and for continually putting out great infotainment. Living in a climate where you can’t feasibly ride for at least five months every year, your content really helps getting through these dark and cold periods.
Awesomeness at it best!
Just put my bike up on the paddock stands, where it will be for the next coming 6 months due to snow, cold weather and crap like that (its hard to live in the european north). I’m so thankful Zak and Spurge is keeping me company in the garage where I just sit staring at my beautiful bike.
A light and fun conversation between the two is the content more or less.
Now please give me a shiny new T-shirt to keep me worm, it f*** freezing up here!
Great show
Been listening/watching sinse the first episode and still think its the best mc related shows out there. It got me thru many a dark month when i was unable to ride my bike due to snow and other horrible things you get in sweden...
